Are prices in Australian dollars? What about GST?
Prices are shown in AUD, excluding GST — the standard for Australian B2B. GST is added on your invoice. What you see here is what you weigh against a receptionist's wage, not a currency-converted surprise.
How do minutes actually work?
You're only metered while Ally is actually on a call, and calls under 20 seconds — wrong numbers, hang-ups, spam — are always free. On Business, minutes pool across all your locations, so a quiet branch covers a busy one. Missed calls and voicemail drops cost nothing.
What happens if I use all my included minutes?
Ally keeps answering — your callers never hit a dead line. Extra minutes are billed at your plan's rate ($0.60, $0.50 or $0.40/min), and if you're consistently going over we'll suggest the plan that works out cheaper. You can upgrade mid-month and we prorate it.
Do unused minutes roll over?
No — plans reset each month, which is how we keep the included rates low. If you're regularly finishing the month with minutes to spare, downgrade in a click; there's no penalty and no lock-in.
Is there a setup fee or a contract?
A one-time setup fee, but no long-term contract on monthly billing. Setup covers building and tuning your scripts, wiring your calendar and tools, and testing before you go live — $249 on Starter (waived if you pay annually), $499 on Professional, $1,499 on Business. Monthly subscriptions run month-to-month; annual plans are billed upfront with two months free.
How does the 30-day money-back guarantee work?
Run Ally on your real calls for your first 30 days. If it's not paying for itself, tell us and we refund your first month's subscription in full — no forms, no exit interview. (Setup covers work already done for you, so it isn't part of the refund.)
Can Ally still hand calls to a real person?
On every plan, Ally can transfer when a caller asks for a human. Professional and Business also include urgent-call detection with an instant text to your team, so you can answer with context.
Which plan is right for me?
A quick rule of thumb: up to ~30 calls a week sits on Starter; a phone that rings all day (~100+ a week) belongs on Professional; multiple locations is Business, with minutes pooled across them. Or skip the guessing — book a free live demo and we'll size it from your real call volume.
